Not my first time in Hong Kong, but my first time looking to rent. I sent a bunch of job application letters, but my dilemma is: I also applied in neighboring countries. And if Google wants me in Taipei, I think I’ll go. .-) So, for the moment I need a flexible solution. – But if I stay longer I’ld want to rent a flat myself and share it. I did this before in Europe, and I liked to choose the people I live with. :-) I managed the Internet-connection for my flat and the neighbors. And I repaired the electric and water installations... I liked to keep the place in shape, but I also demand a minimum cleanliness commitment from everyone in the common areas. – The latter part would be a bigger challenge in mainland China... haha :-P I don’t know all areas yet, but Sham Shui Po raised my interest: decent market/shopping around, reasonable prices, not too far away from downtown.
